National Science Foundation Audit Results and Lessons Learned

Sponsored Projects & Contracting Services
December 8, 2017

The National Science Foundation Office of Inspector General (NSF OIG) has concluded its audit of costs claimed on NSF awards made to the University of Arizona. The report has been published on the NSF OIG website.

We encourage you to read the audit report along with the attached summary. We would also appreciate the opportunity to visit your unit to speak with your research faculty and business officials to discuss the audit and lessons learned.

Even if your unit does not conduct NSF-funded research, the lessons learned apply to managing projects from all of our federal sponsors. Please contact Marcel Villalobos, Sponsored Projects & Contracting Services at 520-626-6311 to schedule a visit.
