Subject: New Virtual Doctor Visit Service Available to All Employees
Date: November 18, 2016
The Arizona Department of Administration (ADOA) medical plans are offering a new telemedicine service, called Doctor on Demand. Beginning in 2017, all employees and their dependents, including those who are not benefits eligible, can visit with a U.S.-trained, board-certified physician through a smartphone, tablet or computer instead of sitting in an emergency or urgent care waiting room to see a doctor face-to-face. Doctors on Demand can provide assessment, diagnosis and, if needed, prescriptions.
To access this new service, you just need to register for a free account. If you register before Dec. 1, you will be eligible to win a free visit to Doctor on Demand. Create your free account by downloading the Doctor On Demand app from the App Store or Google Play, visiting doctorondemand.com, or texting DOD to 68398 for an easy download link.
Costs vary depending on plan enrollment.* Learn more about Doctor on Demand by visiting doctorondemand.com.
*Cost is $15 per visit for EPO participants; $49 for PPO, HSA and UA Alternative Plan participants; and $49 for any employee or dependent who is not enrolled in a medical plan.
