Subject: Nominations Needed for Residency Classification Review Committee
Date: Mar 07, 2018

The Residency Classification Office is seeking volunteers wanting to work with other members of our campus community to ensure all students receive a fair residency classification decision. Members of the classification review committee may include representatives from faculty, administration, staff, professionals and the student body. If you are interested in expanding your skills and knowledge of the residency classification policy, please consider nominating, yourself, students or members of your staff.

The review committee renders a residency classification decision in accordance with Arizona State Statutes and Board of Regents Policy for determining tuition status. Committees consist of at least three voting members appointed by the president for a term of one fiscal year. A chair is designated for each committee and reviews are scheduled for up to 45 minutes. Volunteers receive training and are asked to serve on approximately 3-4 reviews a semester.

Students who have been classified as non-residents by the Statement of Residency Classification process and a Residency Classification Officer may pursue a formal review by the committee.

If you are interested in becoming a member or making a nomination for the residency classification review committee, please email the following information to reg-rco@email.arizona.edu by March 28, 2018:

  1. Your name or the name of the person(s) you are nominating
  2. Your position or the person(s) you are nominating
  3. A personal reference from your supervisor (or personal reference from a UA associate if you are a student)

The ABOR policy guiding the review process can be found here.

Thank you for your consideration,
