Notice of Adoption of Policies

HOLIDAYS POLICY and UNIVERSITY CLOSURE COMPENSATION POLICY

Pursuant to the University Policy-Making Policy, the following action is proposed:

ADOPTION OF HOLIDAYS POLICY and UNIVERSITY CLOSURE COMPENSATION POLICY

SUMMARY:

The approved revisions to the Holidays Policy updates the policy to institute Juneteenth as a new holiday beginning in 2023.

The approved revisions to the University Closure Compensation Policy updates the policy to designate the day after the Thanksgiving holiday as a University closure day beginning in 2023.

The University is limited by ABOR policy to only 10 holidays per year. These policy changes will allow the University to add Juneteenth as a holiday while still providing a paid day off in the way of a closure day for the day after the Thanksgiving holiday.
