Notice of Proposed Policy: CONFLICT OF INTEREST & COMMITMENT POLICY

Pursuant to the authority established by Arizona Board of Regents Policy No. 1-201, et seq., and the University of Arizona's policy on University Policy-making, the following action is proposed:

ADOPTION OF CONFLICT OF INTEREST & COMMITMENT POLICY

SUMMARY: This policy incorporates the University's six conflict-of-interest and commitment policies into one policy to alleviate confusion and contradictions across policies. It serves to prevent unethical behavior, promote objectivity in research, and ensure conflicts of interest and commitment are appropriately eliminated or managed.

A copy of the proposed policy is available at the University Policies website at http://policy.arizona.edu/research/proposed-conflict-interest-commitment-policy. Members of the University community are invited to submit written comments via the feedback box on the University Policy website. All comments must be received by close of business on January 16.
