Subject: Parking and Transportation Information for August 16-18 Residence Hall Move-In

Date: August 15, 2017

In preparation for residence hall move-in, August 16-18, UA Parking & Transportation Services and Housing & Residential Life would like to advise the campus community of several temporary changes to traffic patterns and parking. We ask for your patience as several thousand new students move into their new homes.

Specific lots or sections of lots adjacent to the residence halls have been reserved for students and their parents for short-term unloading purposes. In addition, several street traffic patterns have been changed to one-way to better accommodate the increased traffic flow.

The campus has been divided into three move-in areas for the unloading process. Please click here to view the full campus move-in map and information to the area which may affect you.

The following changes will accommodate students who will be moving into various residence halls across campus.

HISTORIC DISTRICT – Babcock, Coconino, Cochise, Gila, Manzanita-Mohave, Maricopa, Pima, Rawls/Eller Lodge, Yavapai and Yuma Residence Halls

  • Effective August 16-18, Olive Road will become a one-way street going northbound from 2nd Street.
  • Temporary timed parking will be located on Olive Road for the unloading of student's belongings.
  • Space along 2nd Street is restricted from parking or unloading due to Streetcar travel.
