Radhakrishnan Named Director of Contracting and Subaward Services

Ramachandran (Radha) Radhakrishnan is the new director of Contracting & Subaward Services, effective April 5. In his new role, Radha will be responsible for leading a team of contract professionals who negotiate and manage agreements, contracts and subawards for sponsored funding and other types of support for the University's research and educational mission.

Radha has more than 17 years of experience in research and development, contracting and intellectual property, with a Ph.D. in materials science and engineering, and a Master of Science in metallurgical engineering from the University of Idaho. Radha has a strong background in both academic and industry environments and has been at the University of Arizona since 2016 as a contracts manager (industry) in Sponsored Projects and Contracting Services. Prior to coming to the University, in his last two roles he served as senior research scientist at the Applied Research Institute at the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign and was director of the chemistry, materials and life sciences team at Landon IP.

Radha will assume the duties of Steve Harsy, who is retiring from the University effective May 31. His last day at work is Apr. 9.
