Date: Mar 28, 2018

We are excited to host the 5th annual SBIR/STTR Arizona Regional Summit where you can learn about federal funding sources for your technology startup. The event is Wednesday, April 4, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Arizona Center for Innovation, 9030 S. Rita Road, in the Tech Park Event Center.

This year we have the most diverse agency representation yet:

  • DARPA
  • US Department of Agriculture
  • National Institutes of Health
  • Department of Energy
  • NAVSEA
  • Missile Defense Agency
  • US Patent and Trademark Office

Each of the representatives is also available for one-on-one meetings (per pre-schedule). Additionally, several service providers will be available for one-on-one meetings as well.

The federal funding programs Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) and Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) provide over $2.6 billion each year for R&D to qualified small businesses. These grants can provide non-dilutive funding that can bring both capital and opens doors. To navigate the complex process:

  • LEARN about federal SBIR and STTR programs from experts representing various agencies. Successful local SBIR/STTR recipients will share their tips.
  • EXPERIENCE through one-on-one meetings with the program representatives how your technology or research fits a need. Attendees have the opportunity to apply for one-on-one meetings with representatives from agencies. Slots are limited - sign up now!
  • CONNECT to the resources available to support you throughout the process. A showcase of SBIR/STTR programs and exhibitors will include small business consultants, grant writers and reviewers, legal resources, accounting services and workforce development providers. Optional tours of the Tech Park SolarZone, AzCI and lab facilities.

Register by March 29.
