Retirement Celebration May 2 for Phil Kaslo in Computer Science

Computer Science
April 23, 2013

Please help us celebrate Phil Kaslo’s retirement after 30 years of service to Computer Science and the University of Arizona. We will hold a royal roast and tribute at 10:00 a.m. in Gould-Simpson room 906, followed immediately by a reception on the 9th floor, east atrium. Refreshments and cake will be served. If you know Phil, have worked with him or have stories to tell, please drop by to help celebrate.

Phil’s expertise, wry wit, good nature and quiet enthusiasm will be sorely missed by all of us here in Computer Science. He was one of the first alums of the department and the first computing professional ever hired here. As Principal Systems Administrator, Phil has been instrumental to our technological growth in Computer Science, taking us from a single instructional and research machine to a vast network of laptops, workstations and servers. Phil has helped numerous other units in developing their own computing and network facilities as well. Well done, Phil!
