Notice of Policy Revision:

PARENTAL LEAVE POLICY

Pursuant to the authority established by Arizona Board of Regents Policy No. 1-201, et seq., and the University of Arizona's policy on University Policy-making, the following action is proposed:

ADOPTION OF REVISION: PARENTAL LEAVE POLICY

SUMMARY: The University of Arizona is committed to providing a work environment that is supportive of employees' work and family life obligations. In demonstration of this commitment, the University offers an updated Parental Leave Policy which outlines the parental leave options available to parents upon the birth, adoption, foster placement, guardianship, stillbirth, or surrogacy of a child. The Policy update expands Paid Parental Leave to up to 12 weeks, and Unpaid Parental Leave to up to 12 weeks, for a total of 6 months of Parental Leave.
