Sun Link Streetcar Promotional Pass for UA Employees and Students

Have you tried riding the Sun Link streetcar yet? The Sun Link streetcar will complete its first year of operation on July 25. To celebrate its one year anniversary, all rides on Sun Link on Saturday July 25 are free.

In addition, all UA faculty, staff and students qualify for a free 14-day promotional pass, providing 14 consecutive days of unlimited rides on Sun Link, Sun Tran and select Sun Shuttle routes. The free 14-day pass, which gets downloaded onto a mobile phone using the GO Tucson app, is valid until September 5, 2015. You can register online to receive this free offer at

UA faculty, staff and students, that wish to continue riding after the 14 days, can purchase semester and annual passes through UA Parking & Transportation Services at a 50 percent discount. 

  • Fall Semester Pass: $87 (normally $173)
  • 2015-16 Annual Pass: $207  (normally $413)

Additional discounts for the semester and annual passes are available to UA faculty, staff and students that had downloaded the 14-day promotional pass.

Sun Link makes it easier for UA faculty and staff for their commute and to get off campus for meetings and lunch. Sun Link connects the University to Main Gate Square, Fourth Avenue, Downtown Tucson and the Mercado/West End areas. The Sun Link streetcar runs every 10-15 minutes during regular weekday business hours, offering a convenient connection to off-campus destinations.
