Hello!

What is SOS?

Support. Opportunity. Success. is for UA students who find themselves facing questions or issues and are unsure about where to go for answers. Whether you're brand-new to campus or have been around for a while, just reach out to SOS for round-the-clock support. SOS also supports UA staff, faculty, prospective students, and community members. Truly anyone can use SOS.

Where is SOS?

You can find staff at the Gallagher Theater in the Student Union, 10-3, M-F. Staff are available during normal business hours and during key times of the year will be available at extended hours.

Who Answers SOS Questions?

There are now 3 full time staff members and a graduate assistant who works directly with SOS, but the program has many more staff participants due to its collaborative nature. When you send SOS an e-mail, call or visit, your concern may be heard by just the SOS staff or topic experts around campus as we determine how best to help you.

Why SOS?

We want the University of Arizona to be a welcoming environment to all students and believe there is a place and fit for every Wildcat. Every students path to success will look different, but they have the opportunity to thrive here. We want to help all students figure out what being a Wildcat looks like for them. Sense of belonging is enhanced when students know that there is someone who can answer any question they may have, who they can turn to, and what resources they have access to at their university.

We have free materials on SOS, growth mindset, and sense of belonging for you to share with students, staff and faculty. If you are interested in posters or promotional materials, please fill out this Qualtrics survey: https://uarizona.co1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_1zROuTDH6ljxnwh.
