Sustainability Career Panel

This career and networking panel is for students interested in finding out how to turn an interest in sustainability into a career. Sustainability careers can run the gamut from small operations exclusively focused on extreme recycling to specialized departments in large corporations seeking to reduce their organization’s carbon footprint. Find out how students can earn some green while promoting green alternatives at this informative panel.  

Sustainability Career Panel & Networking Event

Wednesday, April 24 

5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m.

in the 3rd floor Catalina and Tucson Meeting Rooms

at the Student Union Memorial Center

This panel brings together professionals representing different facets of Sustainability. Panelists will offer career insights on this innovative and rewarding field, sharing information on their own career paths, trends in the field and critical skills students should hone. A networking session following the panel will offer students an opportunity to connect directly with panelists.

Students can meet:

  • Allyson Solomon, Metropolitan Pima Alliance, Government Relations Director
  • Michael Kazz, Greycycle, President
  • Michael Baruch, TEP, Bright HomeSave Program
  • Bret Fanshaw, Environment Arizona, Advocate
  • Rohan Pease, Arizona’s G & T Cooperatives, Financial Analyst
  • Cheryl O’Donnell, United Way of Tucson and Southern Arizona, Sr. Director of Community Development
  • Carmine Tilghman, UNS Energy, Director of Renewable Resources

A grant from the University of Arizona Student Services fee has made this career panel/networking event series possible for students. Seating is limited, food and beverage is included (free!) and interested students are asked to RSVP online at www.career.arizona.edu. Click on the Sustainability icon on the lower right under “What’s Going On” and follow instructions.
