Two Weeks Remaining to Complete Required Security Awareness Training

Pillar 5 of the University of Arizona Strategic Plan highlights institutional excellence through a variety of initiatives. Information Security is an integral part of supporting the four goals within this important pillar. 

Required Information Security Awareness Training provides campuswide information on security best practices. Each employee has a responsibility to safeguard the information and data, which is valued as part of a top-tier research facility and world class university.

Thank you to the more than 13,000 employees who have already completed the required training. Just two short weeks remain until the April 30th deadline and we look forward to watching the results climb as each student employee, staff, and faculty member achieves their certification.  

How do I complete training?

User-friendly updated awareness training is available online in UAccess Learning. The UAccess Learning site has recently been updated to provide a new and easier user experience. The home page has the same layout, but the options have changed including a new "My Learning" tile, which allows you to quickly view training that you are currently enrolled in or have yet to complete. 

Auto-enrollment

Those who have not previously completed the revised Information Security Awareness training have been auto-enrolled in this class. Revised instructions for completing training can be found on the Information Security website.

When do I need to complete training?

All UA faculty, staff, student employees and DCCs with NetIDs are required to complete updated Information Security Awareness training by April 30, 2019. After the initial training is completed, annual refresher courses will be offered. Refresher courses will be shorter and include timely updates on security threats and protections.
