The UA Institute for LGBT Studies is an interdisciplinary research site for cutting-edge inquiry and scholarship where LGBTQ-related pedagogy and scholarship is produced, engaged, and enacted. We bring together scholars from around the world to participate in advancing transnational perspectives on race, sexuality, and gender informed by the critique of globalization. We are committed to the pursuit of critical inquiry and transformational education and to making their benefits accessible to the public through invigorating collaborations, speakers’ series, scholarly symposia, performances, lectures, and community engagements.
