UA Team Chosen for National Inclusive Excellence Leadership Academy
In maintaining the institution's commitment to diversity and inclusion, five campus leaders from the University of Arizona have been selected to participate in the inaugural cohort of the National Inclusive Excellence Leadership Academy. The program is designed to equip campus leaders with best practices for Inclusive Excellence (IE) – the conscious and intentional implementation of systemic initiatives and frameworks for meaningful, sustainable diversity.
Members of the UA team were hand-picked due to their established record of leadership and passion for diversity and IE on our campus:
Lydia Kennedy—Director, Office of Diversity and Inclusion – UAHS
Sherard Robbins—Assistant Director, Equity and Student Engagement – Housing and Residential Life
Heather Roberts-Wrenn—Assistant Director, Organizational Effectiveness – CALS
Helena Rodrigues—Assistant Vice President, Human Resources
Melissa Silva—Student Services Cochise County Coordinator – UA South
We are proud to represent the University of Arizona in this important work. One of the anticipated outcomes of our participation in the National Inclusive Excellence Leadership Academy is the development of an institutional translation plan that will be help our campus communities grow in the journey toward Inclusive Excellence.
