UAPD Dogs Nominated for Hero Dog Awards

University of Arizona Police Department
March 1, 2018

Since 2011, American Humane, an organization that promotes the safety and well-being of animals, has conducted its annual Hero Dogs Awards, which recognize different categories of dogs (service, therapy, law enforcement, military, search-and-rescue, etc.). This year, our two UAPD dogs, Toby and Trigger, were nominated for the law enforcement category due to the service they provide for our community.

They are both now listed on the American Humane website for the public to vote on. We are asking that the University of Arizona community please assist us in voting for our pups. We are hoping Toby and Trigger get votes, but please vote for a dog you feel is deserving of this recognition.

Click here to cast a vote for Toby, and here to vote for Trigger.

While this is excellent recognition for Toby and Trigger, their handlers and UAPD, it is also great recognition for the University of Arizona and Tucson. Please help spread the word.
