Subject: Undergrads: Get $1,000 to be mentored by an expert researcher!
Date: Apr 25, 2023

The University of Arizona's Udall Center for Studies in Public Policy is looking to hire nine student mentors for participation in the inaugural cohort of their new Mo's Policy Scholars Program!

To qualify to participate, applicants must be:

  • A junior or senior undergraduate student at the University of Arizona.

  • Interested in environmental policy and/or Indigenous governance.

  • Eligible to receive a $1000 stipend.

That's it!

Those selected to participate as Mo's Policy Scholars will be assigned an expert mentor working on research in the area of environmental and/or Indigenous governance.

From September 5 - November 22, 2023, scholars will work as research assistants for their mentors, take part in meetings with peers from the cohort, and participate in self-paced learning sessions related to environmental and Indigenous governance, the Udall Center, and the legacy of legendary Arizona Congressman Mo Udall. In total, this will amount to about 5 hours of work per week.

Not only is this a great resume builder and opportunity to work with and learn from an experienced research professional, but Mo's Policy Scholars will also be paid $1000 for their participation!

Space for this program is extremely limited.

Priority will be given to those who apply by July 1st, so don't wait to submit!
