Subject: Update to Fall 2020 Ceremonies and Celebrations

Due to the nature of large gatherings wherein social distancing and limiting exposure are not realistic, we are unable to host the in-person Commencement celebration, tentatively scheduled for October 30, 2020, or any in-person convocation or celebration in December.

We are committed to following CDC guidelines and University of Arizona leadership to ensure that our community is as safe as possible. Our team is working closely with ceremony coordinators across all colleges and departments to ensure they have the resources necessary to put together a meaningful, alternate experience for our graduates. We look forward to celebrating the Class of 2020 in person when it is safe to do so. Read the update sent to all Fall and Winter 2019 and Spring, Summer, Fall, and Winter 2020 graduates.
