To: All UA Department Heads, Faculty and Staff

Subject: Updated All-Employee Security Awareness Training

Date: June 15, 2015

Information security awareness is essential not only in our personal lives, but also as members of the UA community. We are all responsible to help protect the University’s assets, and digital information is a big part of this responsibility.

To help University faculty and staff fulfill this obligation, UA Information Security has contracted with SANS to use the Securing the Human training series. This was done to ensure that all employees can easily participate in and complete the security awareness program.

Departments are encouraged to request training for all their employees. UA Information Security has the ability to “bulk-register” employees rather than have each employee complete a separate web form. If you are interested in doing so, please contact Gil Salazar at gsalazar@email.arizona.edu or 626-3651.

If an individual wants to request access to the Securing the Human training modules, please complete the web form on the UA Information Security website.

Once access is granted you will receive an email from "UA Information Security <noreply@securingthehuman.org>.” This is legitimate, and will provide instructions and a link to the awareness training site.  If you have any questions about this process, please contact UA Information Security at 520-621-8476 or infosec@email.arizona.edu.
