Veronica Chu has been named senior director of finance and administration in the Research, Innovation, and Impact Business Center (RIIBC), effective March 7, 2022. Chu, manager of post-award administration in RIIBC since June 2021, replaces Anh Le.  

In her new position, Chu will serve as the chief financial and business officer for RII, which includes museums, university-wide research centers and institutes and research administration service units. She will lead the RIIBC team of business professionals who provide financial management support to RII leadership and RII centers, institutes, museums, core facilities and administrative service units.

Chu joined the University of Arizona in 2006 as an accountant in the Financial Services Office and has held other financial and budget positions in College of Education and Office of Budget and Planning before joining RII in June 2021.
