Virtual Climate Symposium: "Psychological Science & the Climate Crisis: Thinking Globally & Acting Locally"

When: Friday, May 06, 2022 3-4:30 p.m.

At its core, the global climate crisis is a crisis of human behavior and the discipline of psychology, with its focus on the study of behavior and the mind, is uniquely positioned to play a major role in shaping the changes needed to mitigate the climate emergency. These changes are needed at the individual, economic, policy, societal and global levels.

This virtual symposium will bring together local and national experts to discuss climate change research, climate activism and the many ways psychological science can position itself to be part of these change efforts.
