Date: Nov 08, 2018

The Udall Center for Studies in Public Policy, the UMI iGLOBES and the Centro de Estudios Mexicanos y Centroamericanos will present a workshop from November 12-13 titled "Human Challenges in Extreme Environments." The workshop will run from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the Louise Foucar Marshall Building, Room 531.

Human adaptation to extreme environments is quickly evolving as a consequence of rapid and variable global change, technology development and adoption, and ecosystem response. This workshop fosters innovative cooperation around the challenges and opportunities extreme environments pose to human systems (agricultural, energy, urban systems) and devise new proposals for applied research initiatives.
