Subject: You're Invited to Events for Open Education Week 2019
Date: Mar 12, 2019

Please join University Libraries for two events to celebrate Open Education Week at the UA:

Monday, March 25

10-11 am
Main Library, Room A313/314
Workshop: Finding & Using Free Images, Videos, Songs, & Readings

The UA Libraries provide free access to millions of books and ebooks, journal articles, videos, images, and songs to UA students, faculty, and staff. In addition, more than 1.4 billion Creative Commons-licensed works can be freely used by anyone in the world (many also can be customized). Your content options expand even more with items in the public domain that are free of copyright. Learn how to find and use these materials for teaching, research, marketing, creative projects, and more.

Tuesday, March 26

Noon to 1 pm
Main Library, Room A313/314
Brown Bag: Open Educational Resources & the Affordability Spectrum for Course Materials

We'll talk about how to lower the cost of course materials for students using open educational resources, library-licensed materials, and inclusive access. Bring your lunch and join the conversation!
