Excellence in teaching, service and mentorship recognized at the annual Outstanding Faculty Awards ceremony

More than 30 faculty members were honored for excellence in teaching, innovation, service, mentorship and more at the 2024 Outstanding Faculty Awards. The ceremony was held Feb. 28 at Crowder Hall in the School of Music.
The ceremony, hosted by the Office of the Provost, featured honors including new Regents Professors, University Distinguished Professors and the Five Star Faculty Award, which is the only Universitywide teaching award whose honoree is chosen by undergraduates.
"Teaching, research, service and outreach – these are the fundamentals of faculty work that we celebrate today," said Ronald W. Marx, interim senior vice president for academic affairs and provost, at the ceremony. "We have woven mentorship into this fabric as the connective thread that ties us together and lifts the next generation."
